My Name is Ruth Hutton, Join me with the "plunge" into the fiberarts.  I am expanding the Circle of Friends Yarn Shop into a "FiberArt Studio".  The new fields of interest are spinning, weaving, dyeing, felting and embroidery.  Look for postings regarding classes.

Along with the classes will be new equipment to support the expansion.  I am a dealer for Ashford products, which include looms and spinning wheels.  Ashford products are made in New Zealand, with a rich history in the fiber (fibre) arts. 

Just a little brief history about me:  After I received a BS in Textile Design from the Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science (now known as Philadelphia University), I moved to North Carolina for a career in Textile design. For the last 26 years I have had two jobs designing Jacquard Fabrics, both located in North Carolina.  I have one daughter (Katie) and a granddaughter (Ellie). They are in the store everyday to help me with anything I need! Your sure to see them running after each other!
